About the speakers

Abe Monzon

Abe Monzon is the Head of Talent for Union Square Hospitality Group - recognized by Crain’s New York as a Notable HR Leader in 2022.

Upon graduation, Abe was asked to work for Hult, helping to create and implement branding, marketing, and global recruitment plans for Hult's campuses across Boston, Dubai, London, and Shanghai. A few months into the role, Abe moved to Dubai to help open Hult’s local campus. It was during this time that Abe was able to learn further about human resources and realize his innate interest in recruitment.  

Wanting to move back to the United States, Abe began working for Whole Foods Market, as a Senior Recruiter and Employment Manager. While working for Whole Foods, Abe narrowed his interests toward talent acquisition, becoming the Associate Director of Recruiting.

He spent the next several years of his career working in Recruitment and Talent Acquisition for UNIQLO, L’Occitane en Provence, and Godiva.In 2021, Abe left Godiva and joined Union Square Hospitality Group. Navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Abe has worked alongside UHSG’s People team to modernize the strategy of attracting, hiring, and recruiting talent across various restaurants and businesses.

Leading the recruiting practices across multiple unique businesses, Abe continued hiring while ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion goals were met.  His years of experience in Talent Acquisition have proved invaluable in addressing the myriad challenges of reopening and reshaping the company in a post-pandemic landscape.

Jonatan Marc Rasmussen

Jonatan is Co-Founder of All Gravy, a Danish SAAS company focused on the retail and hospitality industries. He cut his teeth consulting Financial Institutions in London before realizing building companies and tech was much more exciting than spreadsheets and formatting slides.

Prior to founding All Gravy he has been working in startups, scaleups and on the venture side and enjoys a bit of angel investing on the side. He is a strong believer in lean startup methodology, customer-driven innovation and in the power of user research.
